This work belongs to a series of 12 pieces entitled "The Queen" and devoted to the different aspects of power. Here, through the small gesture of coquetry that the queen makes by pleating her dress, it is the demagogic dimension of power that is put forward. In the government of things as in fashion, you have to "please", seduce the eye, adorn yourself with your best finery. « In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
